My AR .300 Whisper needs to go.I'd like to build one on a Rem. 700 ( I think ), a bolt action anyway. Where can I get a good barrrel chambered in .300 Whisper? It doesn't have to be a bench rest...

I know there can be some difference with a cold...

I know there can be some difference with a cold vs warm bore, but 2" high and 2"left? I found two other targets that are the same.

Some progress. I shot 3 rounds of 125 gr and 3 of 168 gr at super sonic speed and had 1 in groups. I'll try some 168"s with less powder and see what happens.

BAD groups----need help

I've got a AR in .300 Whisper and can't get good groups. I was shooting Matchking 220 gr with 9.1 gr H110. I bought some Nosler spitzer in 200 gr and tried 9 gr H110. I'm still getting 6-8 inch...

He told me if he shoots them in the body, they just bleed like shooting them with a arrow. I believe him on the ricochet. Everytime I shoot at a target on the ground, close or far, I get a ricochet....

I've got the same .223 with the same results. I asked my dealer about the 308's, and he said he had no idea when they would start making them again.Didn't sound too promising on getting one.

Twice I've shot my 300 / 221 into the ground, where there are no rocks ( the mound system in my back yard ) had had ricochets. I'm shooting 220gr Matchking over 9.1 H110 at about 1000 fps.

I finally got ma can yesterday. When I sighted in, using a halo sight at 100yd, I would shoot 3" high at 50 yd. Should it drop that much in fifty yards ?

Anyone doing this ? What / how much powder to start with ? I'm using 9gr H100 with my 220 grain Whisper loads. Cound I start with the same ones ? I'll be shooting 55gr ammo.
