To put it into perspective, this is what you killed a deer with. Damn! Everything I read says my 25-20 is not a hunting cartridge, but is shoots a 75 gr bullet at a little over 2000 fps. It puts quarter size holes in coyotes @ 100 yds. I may have to get it out. I say good job. Shot placement would have to be critical and you must have that down.
I dont know about 25/20 but I have always thought a deer cartridge was what ever you could shoot accurately with a good bullet was a deer roud ( we used to butcher beef with a .22lr Hp behind the ear.....shot placement and bullets are what kills....

Well I got this...

With this M1S 300 Fireball...

With the smaller of the two hollow points...

He ran 10 yards. I couldn't tell it was hit with anything.(I looked for a wound, but didn't look hard enough I guess) For all I know he could have ran into a tree and broke his neck. It was broke. But that is where I was aiming Mid neck, 85 yards. I always aim at the neck if I can. Even with my cross bow.

damn nice buck man! I shot 1 last week, hit rib bone on both sides and stoped in the sholder. No exit wound and no blood trail at all. All the others were thru and thru and bled like crazy.

I live in an area that I can only use shotguns or pistols. Cans are not allowed at all in MN That being said, I am using 125 Ballistic Tips out of a 12.5 barrel from J Fettig. Last year was my first hunting with it. I harvested this fawn at 25 yards. Broke the leading shoulder, 3" hole in the ribcage, bottom 2/3 of the heart was gone. Some fragments penetrated to the other side and that is what you see here.

This year I was very confident in my abilities to hit what I was aiming at. I am in an intensive harvest area and I harvested 7 All the adult deer were shot in the chest with very dramatic results. Fauns were head or neck shot with immediate results. This is my buck from this year.

I know you are looking for big bullets going slow but little bullets cooking along do very well also...
