As promised earlier in this thread, I'll be posting a pic or two of the Aussie M9 on the end of an ADI Austeyr F88SA1 rifle later today. I finally brought my camera in.

Cheers,

Wes

Is the scabbard still available for sale or trade?

My PC has had the biscut, so I am not on as much as I would like, but last week ebay had an auction for an Aussie marked M9, and it went for almost $1000AUD, or almost $700US. Can you beleive that! Of course it was an Aussie based bidder who won. That price has got to be the most expensive Aussie M9 ever sold, at least as far as I know.

PS- the way the seller had it worded is what sold the knife!

Cheers,

Wes

Australian contract fake

Take a look at this ebay auction
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Quality-repr...item2eb981da89
Do not consider the scabbard and try to focus on the blade markings.
In the following picture on the left is a genuine australian contract M9, on the right the bayonet from the above auction

I'm shocked as I am not able to see any difference (apart from a small alignment problem) in the blade markings between the two.

It could be an original blade with Chinese parts.

Aussie m9 buckle date query

Hi,Could anyone please tell me if ALL the Aussie m9s have a date code on the buckle as I have one that hasnt. It has the same buckle markings as my US Gen two.The scabbard is correct for an Aussie m9 though.(BUCK with Broadarrow)

At first I thought it had a substituded webbing piece, but it looks the same as the others on my other Aussie m9s.It does not look to have been restitched either.(Ive noticed that the American webbing has a longer loop section near the snap that covers the stone,at least on mine anyway).

Does anyone else have one with no date code on the buckle?Or is it a case of someone putting on the wrong buckle when made?Any and all help much appreciated, thankyou.

Jay
