NO, in TN the CLEO is required to sign off regardless of what their opinion is on NFA. My CLEO is a hell of a good guy. He even came to my grandmother's funeral. (I did look good in my suit and 10mm Kimber.)The Trust is no different. People Like to get a trust just for their NFA goodies just to make things simple.

There are some pitfalls to doing you own, But most people do it this way. Quicken will not let you choose the name of the trust so you will have to export it to a Word document to change the name. (Jonathan Quincy Smith Revocable Living Trust) Takes up a lot of real estate on the side of a receiver.
