No video out on the scope. No built in ballistic computer that can project a dot on where the bullet will go. But at least the glass is decent as well as the reticle (except for the lower portion which uses bullet drop lines).
There is a remote control believe it or not. So it is supposed to be possible to have place a button in a more convenient location to activate the range finder when it is in standby mode. Either the remote does not work or it shipped with a dead battery. So I haven't been able to test that feature. It would be nice to not have to press the button on the scope to fire the laser and get a range.
You can also hold the button for tracking mode. The range finder will keep updating the range until you release. It's supposed to be useful for moving targets like a deer quartering away from you.
The laser will draw a fair bit of power and the battery is not huge. I forget how many actual range findings you are supposed to get out of the battery. I do know that I was playing with that feature a lot when I got the scope. So from whatever condition the battery was in when I got it, I ranged a fair number of times.
I should mention (although you probably noticed) that one reason the scope looks so huge is that I have the sunshade installed. That is about ten centimeters long. The scope is still not small for a 42mm objective though.
