Keep on coming back to the same thing

Have been using a range of different cartridges and calibers for hunting recently. All good and great fun but I am going to screw my 257 Roberts barrel back in (again) and use Ballistic Tips to...

458 SOCOM: Trail Boss works again

Guys

Posted this yesterday but it hasn't stuck.

Have been working on the 458 SOCOM with 500 and 550 grain loads. Loaded both with 15 grains of Trail Boss.

I took out the 220 Hornady RN which is a flat base bullet and the 200 grain Lapua subsonic bullet. Both using the 12 grain load for comparison.

But great news. I have broken down how...

Hi Guys

Before I go too much crazier can anyone tell me the actual, real world, diameter of a 222/223 Rem 700 bolt face.

I am trying to work out whether one will work for a 7 x 33 Sako...

It is far too easy to do. You are just a barrel wrench and vise away. Then you can treat your action as a platform and set up the barrel you want/need as you go - takes about 5 minutes.

Well done!

It sounds a little bit like a range thing for me - 25 yds is too close to get any bullet tumbling but you seem to have found the range the second time at 70 yds. Nevertheless (and I...

Sabots have to date proved to be fickle things when it comes to accuracy. I would rather put a 750 grain bullet at subsonic speed through the shoulder-heart-lung area.
