Looking for Help and Info... Ontario M9 Bayonet History!!!

I will be honest, I don't know very much about when Ontario got the contract to make M9 Bayonets for the US Military or even if they ever got more then one contract. I welcome anybody to lend me a hand!

Following is some info I had on my M9 Bayonet page...

The Ontario M9 is a much lighter green in the handle and the scabbard than the LanCay. The color is called Forest Green and the blade contains the following markings: M-9 / ONTARIO / KNIFE CO / USA. This latest contract was filled by June 2000.

Following is an Ontario M9... Note, I do not know if this is a correct USGI Issue M9 but the markings seem to match
