anybody building a CQB ak???

I was reading an article on the one that Krebscustom did and that thing is awesome! I am thinking of building one of those just for the shtsngiggles. If it comes out ok I may shoot it in a couple two or three gun events around here. Does anybody sell a kit without all the furniture? I just need the hard parts.... what's the deal with the disconnectors, every kit I found ws without a disconnector. Are they selling them seperate? anyway, any info. would be helpful, pics would be better..thanks guys------Great site!!

What kind of Close Quarters AK do you want to build? My personal choice for a close in AK is my simple SAR-2 with a side folder at the moment. If I wanted lights and the rest of the gadgets then there are plenty of forward rail systems out there.

For a handy carbine, I really like my AMD-65 if I wanted something in 7.62x39 as that thing points and shoots very well. I am not so sure I would want to sling 7.62x39 rounds at someone inside a house but I am sure it would get the job done.

I do not believe in using an NFA weapon for self defense (personal choice mind you and those of you that have a SBR sitting under your bed I am not saying it is a bad choice - just not for me) but if I did one of the various Krinks or AMD-65s would make a handy and compact system if you paid your taxes and registered it as a SBR.

Another gun I plan to build for a close-in weaponn is one of my Rommy G kits with an underfolder stock with the rear bend forward pistol grip. I just need life to stop for a couple days so I can put that one together as I have the parts just waiting on me to get down and do some more building.

what about building a ak bull-pup for a qcb rifle?
I have seen pics of them and although they are a little ugly you get away from the short barreled tax and all that stuff

just a thought

more along the lines of the krebscustom stuff, they are using 16.5 inch barrels and a m-4 collapsible stock with a rail fore grip and that sort of thing.

hey snake do you have a link to the type you are wanting to build?
here is a link to what mine will look like when its done except my is getting od green powder coat instead of black paint. and my fore grip has the integral flashlight holder instead of the light on the side.

either way have fun collecting the parts and assembling her!!
are you going to name it (her) ?? and what will you call it? if you do.

only problem is you then have so much crap hanging off your ak that it is not as easily manuvered around corners and such. you will end up with this if you are not careful
