want to sell some m9 bayonets

I have collected m1 helmets and bayonets for some years now and I think I want to sell some of my stuff. I have several m9's. I have about all of the military issue type m9's If I sell an example of my best three types, which would you suggest? Offer a Buck+ and a chevron marked Phrobis. Is there any place to sell other than ebay? I am going to leave on vacation next week and will be gone a couple of weeks so I can start selling when I return...Your advise?

EBAY will give you the best buyers (all of us here) plus the worst buyers (the ones that don't come here)

Seriously, take nice pics and write up a decent description and EBAY will give you the best money on your knives... You are welcome to post in the classifieds area of the forums as well or a link to your auction if you wish...

Best M9 Bayonets

I personally feel that the M9 bayonets with the lowest production numbers are the "best". Some of these are the 1986 XM9 Trials bayonets, the first run "chevron", the Buck Collectors Club numbered chevron or the Phrobis chevron plaque. The Buck 1991 USMC M9, of which there were 5000 made, also seems to be a desireable piece. I also like the prototype pieces.

As quarterbore stated, ebay is probably the best place to list your bayonets if you're looking for maximum exposure. There are thousands of bayonets listed on ebay at any given time and as much as people might claim that they don't like ebay, they still check the listings very regularly.

Another option is to list your bayonets on this forum. At least you'll know for sure that you'll have a viewing audience who will appreciate what you're selling.

Thank You for

Many thanks for the information. I will dig out the boxes when I get back in a couple of weeks and snap some photos and give everyone here a heads up.

Also a hello to old smithy. He purchased a couple of bayonets from me in the past.

Good-By for now

Question M9 Phrobis 111 U.s.a.

Hi I was just wondering if any body could me help in the way of what price would be fair to ask for this knife.
Its Brand New in a box with the sheath and belt. Ive had it for years and am thinking about selling it.
Its marked Buck 188 U.S.A.>
I'm new to this site so I hope i'm in the right section.

Thanks

Peter.

Hello Peter,

Welcome to the site. Your best source of pricing information is ebay. Do a completed auction search on ebay and you will get a good idea of the current market value. Your bayonet is a 1987 commercial piece. Several of these have sold in the past few weeks on ebay.
