M7 Bayonet... I NEED SOME HELP WITH THIS!!!

Like a fool I grabbed a domain that I want to set up for the M7 bayonet like we have done for the M9 Bayonet. The problem is that I am no expert on the M7 Bayonet.... The new website will be m7bayonet.com

I am going to use this forum as a place to get some facts started...

Manufacturer List

Bauer Ord. Corp.
Carl Eickhorn [for Colt]
Colt
Columbus Milpar & Mfg.
Conetta Mfg.
Frazier Mfg.
General Cutlery
Imperial Knife
Ontario Knife Co.

Quarterbore, howdy. Yesterday I was at the S.F., Calif. Cow Palace gun show and, my cousin picked up a excellent condition M7 bayonet. The manufacturer was Bauer Ord. ...I have done all kinds of internet searches for this company to no avail. I want to know IF you have any leads or a link where I can look to get the history of this company relative to their M7 Bayonet productions...

Thanks,
dogtag

Bauer Ordnance Corp was located in Detroit, MI. Rock Island records show only one contract to them, but it was a huge one. The RIA records show deliveries of 1,835,392 M7 bayonets between October 1968 and October 1969. I have not found a CAGE for them indicating they probably were no longer in business by the mid-1970s, and may have been created just for this contract, although I have no documentation of that fact. They are normally found in PWH M8A1 scabbards, the only maker during the late 1960s.
