Quiet powder

Working on some sub loads for my H&R 357 (waiting 7 months for the can stinks). 215 gr. cast with 110 and 296, 9 gr gets 990 fps, 6.2 trailboss gets 965 fps - it is cleaner burning and half as loud! Also loaded some 158 keith style with 6 gr. trailboss at 1120 fps. very quiet compared to the 296 loads..Acc ok-Getting about 3/4" at 50 yds. forward and reverse..What gives? Does anybody know of any test done to determine db's of different powders? The TB works better, but not without its own problems- 1-not the best meetering powder ever made. 2- the Lyman elec. scale starts building up static electricity on about the 3rd load, which makes the reading go south. Rezero and start again.....Contacted the company - windex and dryer sheets...Works for a few minutes and then back again.....Has anybody ever had any problems close to this??
