300 Whisper on RobArms M96 Recon

Quarterbore thank you very much for this forum!, its going to be invaluable in the coming months for my new project -to create a caliber conversion for my M96 Recon carbine! I have waited since 1999 and have given up on Mr. Alex Robinson to make good on a 7.62x39 conversion, and this seems to be the perfect solution!!-with the added plus of subsonic AND tracer loads TOO COOL!! all with a 3 second barrel change! I am hoping that the adjustable gas system will allow me to compensate for variations with out needing a different recoil spring any input on this -anyone??? 8)

The Robinson M96 is another of those weapon systems that I really want to add to my own safe and there have been more then a few that I have fondled over the years.

My best guess would be that the M-96 system should have amble adjustment in it's gas system to handle the variations in the 300 Whisper but then again I am sure you know that there are no rules with semiautos...

Could I ask you a favor, assuming you have a digital camera? would you be able to take some photos of your M96 and write up a basic review of the system? I would be honored to post such a review up on the website as I have had a few people e-mail me over the years asking me of my oppinions but I am no expert on these as while I have handled a few it just isn't the same as taking one down and playing with all the little parts to understand how they work!

review of m96w/pics

I do have access to a buddies digital camera, but I am clueless when it comes to hosting images, do I understand correctly that sending them to your E-mail will allow you to put them up? as for a review of the weapon , I will be glad to give it a try but I think anything and everything to be said can be found on either www.m96.org or the m96 page of www.biggerhammer.net :)
