Adjustable Gas tube or not?

Okay I'm joining the 300 Fireball Club. I bought an Oly 16" Barrel 1-8 twist for my AR15 with the GAS port in the Carbine Position.

Few Questions:
Should I have the gas port hole enlarged? If so what to .082? or .12?

Planing on using a suppressor and shooting Subs. 220gr and possibly some 168Gr.

But I do have an abundance of 147gr and 110gr laying around for plinking. If I load these up to be Supersonic am I going to need the adjustable gas tube?

If I don't get the adjustable gas tube and shoot supersonic loads what are the consequences?
