Scopes, yeah again

I am just about to get my first .300 Whisper, gunsmith is just finishing the BBL. My gun is a 16" 1:8 twist and I was thinking I should be able to get 300 yards out of it. I will be running SS rounds and a suppressor. Is this a reasonable expectation?

I have been reading a bit about scopes and not sure what way to go.

I looked at the Pride and Fouler that I see suggested a lot but it only "ranges" to 200 yards. There are tons of different "ranging" type reticles out there, do any others come close? Mil Dot maybe or do they not extend far enough down for the longer shots?

Another thing I was thinking was to get something with unmarked target caps and mark them according to where I am hitting with my load and gun. Does anyone make something like that? I was thinking about doing a BSA Sweet 22 scope since people say the ballistics are very close but it only goes out to 175 yards too.

I will check out the scope caps, they seem like they might be just what I am looking for.

I see SWFA is selling IOR and I need another one of those for another project. I know the SS scope is said to be good but I am not a mil dot fan.
