Dtech, aka Mike Milli is making the 338WSSM wildcat which could surely be loaded down to sub-sonic as well as the possibilty to almost duplicate the 338 Federal loads. They are reliable and feed from the WSSM mags.
I'd give him a call......Office/shop line: (218) 444-7419

Thanks but I wanted to get a reamer/dies & see what I could do. Seems that it would run out of a AR15. Ron

I have recieved my dies & can get started looking into the 338BR/Whisper. Bolts will be available soon from RRA for their 458Socom & Marty @ Teppo jutsu also makes them. Mags for the 6.5grendel should feed it. Anyone interested in running this through their AR15?

D-Tech has posted some pictures of a standard .473 bolt set up to run in the WSSM uppers that he sells. He's supposedly got some 6BR's sold and running.

That's the only way I see that you're going to get decent performance out of this cartridge in an AR platform.

With the pressure you're (eventually at least) going to be operating at on that SOCOM bolt, it isn't going to last long, or you'll be severely disappointed in the performance of the cartridge if you hold the pressure down to 35k.

I think I will look into turning the base/rims on the BR case down to fit the 6.8SPC bolts. Turned a couple & I see no reason it wont work. Just might be the ticket! Thanks again, Ron
