300 Brass Quality

Hi
I'm putting together a 300 whisper bolt gun and would like to get the very best from it. Has anyone put 221 fireball brass to the test for consistancy in weight, thickness, ect after forming or is it better to start with lapua or nosler custom brass.

The Lapua 223 brass is very consistent and should be good brass to start with.

Depending on your chamber, you may not be able to use 223 brass. My chamber is marginal. I could probably get away with it 80% of the time, but Remington 221 fireball gives me a more consistant result in my AR.

Then again, I guess I could neck turn Lake City 5.56x45 brass, but that is just too much hassel.
