Help please with name of an Lathe

Hi, i want to buy an used lathe, the guy who sells tell me is a Hermes Mentor brand lathe, he says is a French vlathe, i`ve googled that name and dont find it, is it really a brand and is french, and is good? or is a chinese multibrand?, a lot of thanks.
