The only Buckmaster knives that I've seen that are not stamped on the ricasso are:
  • prototype blades
  • Buck Custom Shop knives
  • Foreign copies

Do you have any pictures of the knife that you can post or email?

Old post .....Wrong info Sorry. On further investigation the 2500 BuckMaster's the SEAL's took delivery of was of the normal line and were stamped.CJ and I discovered this...... I have prototype SEAL #1 and #2 of 6 SEAL BuckMaster Prototype's. # 1 is stamped BUCK,U.S.A.,Prototype, SEAL 1 of 6.. Number two is marked Prototype,SEAL 2 of 6.. CJ said this was to show the US Navy SEAL's that the blades can have no marking's therefor hidding the origin of the knife... WAY cool....IF sandblased again the prototype ,SEAL 1 of ? Would and could be blasted off. I am curious what hilt is on this knife....
