Neck reamer cal 510.

Hi
does anyone know how make a neck reamer for caliber 510.

i am going to make 500 phantom brass from 500 Jeffery cases. I need to cut them and shorten them and then i need to size a new neck on them.
when this is done i expect there to be to much material on the neck so i am sure that i need to mill some of.
is there anyone how knows about a neck reamer that could be used for this purpose?

i would also like to know from people that have done similar projects before. what is the best way to make brass by shortening a longer type case.
do i need both a inside and out side reamer or is it enough to run the case thru the die and remove the extra material on the out side.

Hello Norwegian viking,

For the task you are trying to do, I suggest the following:

Fully size your cases.
Trim to length.
Use a K&M expender to expend the inside of your neck so that its inside diameter will match the diametre of the pilot of the neck turner.

Use the K&M neck turner to remove the excess off brass that you want.

You need to buy the 50 BMG neck turning kit
good luck
