Unmarked M7 ?

I was given an M7 bayonet without any markings. The scabbard is an U.S. M8A1 with a WD underneath. I was told by the person that gave it to me that it was a Vietnam war bayonet. Does anybody have any info on this unmarked bayonet and its scabbard? Thank you for any help.
