I used a .223 can on my 552-300 rifle and it worked pretty well. Its a triple X suppressor. A lot of guys have used these on a 9mm with good results. The bore is pretty big because of the tendancy for .223 to wobble, especially in full auto. I would think that a 9mm can would work well too. I might have to try my CAC9 just to see....I have an adapter for 1/2-28 so it can be done. I think the big issue is making sure you have a clear path through the can. 9mm is not friendly to the baffles but I think the heavy .30 cals would be a little more destructive if they hit the can.

I have not tried one, but several people including my local class 3 dealer report great results with a YHM wraith XL 9mm can.

I got the ok for the SWR trident to be used with the whisper. I'll let you know how it works when I get it, but that will be a while because of all the paper work.

I can't answer that directly but I can tell you that shooting a .224 bullet thru a 30 caliber can caused it to be 4 db louder than using 30 cal bullets per the maker. So I would expect similar loss of efficency in a 9mm can - and the bigger volume the 9mm can the better I would expect it to preform.

I'd also guess you'd only want to use Subsonic loadings as Supersonic would most likely cause a problem with the higher pressure.
