The screw has a non-standard "tit" on it. I'll get another pic for you. But it is certainly a "tit" tip that obscures about 2/3 of the gas flow.

Unfortunately, I haven't found anyone selling just the valve...because at $30 for a valve, let's face it, nobody'd buy it!

Nonetheless, it worked pretty good for me, so I'm going to give it another go and install it on the pistol tube.

Speaking of which, my pistol tube arrived today from Model 1. Unfortunately, it's a half inch longer than what I'm currently running... :(

abyssdncr,

I posted a question on AR15.com about this and was pointed toward this gas block:

http://www.jprifles.com/buy.php?item=JPGS-5

It looks like it would fit under CAR handguards. I bookmarked the tube your using and this block.

We sold our house today so packing/moving will hold up this project.

EDIT: No need for another pic. I suspected that the screw had a 'tit' on it but wasn't sure.

That looks perfect. I didn't realize that JP had low profile blocks out now...

Good luck with the move!!! Did that 6 months ago and don't plan on repeating it any time soon...still can't find all my reloading crap!
