Ok...now that I have picked up my jaw from the floor, let's talk about that gas block.

To start off, I have the same exact barrel. Now for the questions:

2) Did you open up the gas port? If so, did you max it out at .110"?
3) Were you able to adjust the gas block to your load? Or is it just an on/off feature?

Left the gas port alone. Same as it came from Noveske. This block is a simple on/off affair. He makes adjustable ones though.

Scoop,

I'm pretty sure we have the same barrels...Your Noveske barrel is 0.875" in diameter at the gas block, right? Did you have to mod the gas block any to allow it to fit underneath the handguards? I just re-read your post. How much did you have to take off? Do you happen to know, what the inner diameter of the JP handguards are? I looked it up on the JP website, the I.D. is 1.75".

I'm trying to exhaust all options before I send my Noveske barrel off to be re-profiled.

I have tp555's on-off on my 223 and three way on my 300-221 uppers.

The on-off block is awesome. You don't realize just how loud the action is until you completely banish that noise. Felt recoil also seems to go down, but video shows the same exact amount of recoil.

My on-off got shaved down a tiny bit to fit in the standard position on the 223. The 300-221 just barely fit under a 1.75" ID hand guard. Things to keep in mind. My 223 has a 1" barrel to the block and then 0.930 the rest of the way. The 300-221 is 1" to the block (in the pistol position) and then 0.750" the rest of the way. I have a standard length hand guard on both.

If you want the block under the hand guard, you probably need either to go with only a 0.750" barrel or find a larger than 1.750" ID hand guard.
