I think you missed my point... it was more of making a list of finding out how many there were, where, and so on.
It would be a registry built solely on the info provided by the owners, as much as or as little as they prefer, if any, with nothing provided by outside sources.
My tax info is private unless I choose to disclose it to you, but there wouldn't be any real tax info disclosed in the registry I had in mind, just an owner claming ownership in a serial number range and where they were geographically maybe, but it appears there is little to no interest in it after all
