I will be honest that I was holding off sharing this bayonet as it was one that I was trying to get for my own collection but at last the auction is over and I didn't quite bid enough...

Quote:This is a genuine M9 Phrobis III ex - US Army issue Bayonet. The knife is stamped with the words M9 Phrobis III USA. The sheath is heavy-duty and an olive green in color. It has a detachable belt clip. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. The knife is in EXCELLENT condition. It's not new, but it has been very well taken care of.
What made this knife interesting is the rather unusual markings on the blade especially the flattened "M" and unusual "9". I know this is comonly refered to as the Second Generation Phrobis and you can find more general info on the various
