Sale on 180gr Sierra RN Bullets, Cheap!!....

I am in no way associated with this company but I have done business with them in the past and they have been great to deal with.

They have a close out on Sierra 180gr RN jacketed bullets at an unbeleivable price of $69.99/1000 bulk packed. Their catalog says 1100 but when I called it was a misprint. The shipping is a bit stout but even from them to me with shipping the cost is still only $0.09 a bullet which is great consdering these are selling for about $18.00 a hundred + Shipping!!!

Just thought I would give you handloaders who like heavier RN bullets a heads up. AFTER I ordered mine of course

I load for the whisper/30-40 Krag/ 7.5x55 Swiss/ and finally .308... So I am gonna put them to good use.... With rising costs on all components this is a heck of deal...

Got the bullets today and they look great.. Got here in 6 days... As an added benefit the box is actually marked 1100 count so the catalog is correct. That brings the shipped price down to about $0.08 each for jacketed softpoint round nose Sierra bullets.... (cost was $90.59 shipped to my door)...

Local shop sells these things for $19.99/box of 100 PLUS 6.5% tax. Th ats a $143.00 savings over the per/100 box price. Darn them little plastic boxes are expensive...

Not sure if they have any left or not... Time to get loading so I can do some

While mine were on the way I began wondering just how broad the nose was on them. Got them and didn't look like they were too blunt nosed so I loaded some up popped them in the magazine and dropped the bolt on one and jam. Crap. Cleared it and took a good look and even though the extension had m4 ramps I had forgot to cut the receiver. Felt a little better and after profiling the receiver they fed great manually so hopefully I will get to try a few mags full out here shortly. Since a lot more of the weight is forward with a round nose bullet compared to a long tapered one these appear they may make up for some of the loss of case capacity due to using thick mil brass. I get full case charge with roll crimped bullet at 17.2 grains. Not going to try it right off the bat but it might be interesting since the 180 gr bullet seems to have the highest power factor in the 300 whisper loads.

Ok went ahead and tried the 17.2 grains H110 with the 180 RN just to save others the trouble and it is indeed too hot a load. Nice 1870 fps but ruins the brass for further reloads.
