If you are still looking at Contenders I have a Gen 3 Frame on mine with a .357 Remington Maximum Super 14 Barrel (not for sale)
As for the adjustable trigger mine is fully adjustable the same a my buddies Gen 1 Model is, I am not sure about the newest G2 Frames though as I have not seen one up close.
You can't go wrong with a TC, I have 1 Contender and 2 Encore's, My Contender is set up as a pistol obviously and my Encore's are 1 Rifle (209x50BP) and 1 pistol with several barrel's including .308, .270, 22-250, .243 and a couple of other 15" barrel's
I use the TC one peice scope mouts on mine with a couple of Leupold Pistol Scopes and 3 of the Vari power TC pistl scopes 2 with lighted reticles, I love them all and would guess you will to when you find one!
Note; The recoil of the .270 Win while I love it is not for the faint of heart! The .308 and others are pretty tame though.
