Rare Blade

I just happened by luck to get a rare Lancay m9 Blade.. It happens to be a first contract blade with no step in back of the saw teeth, with the second contract black blade with the LanCay markings instead of the Lan-Cay markings. According to the information 200 of these first contract blades were set aside due to the tips being thinner than the specifications back in 1995. Paperwork was lost for a request of the variance and found later. When it was approved it was already the start of the second contract so they were used and the black finish of the second contract was applied.. Unfortunately it was retipped and sharpened along with being buffed with a mirror finish on the blade, but it still has at least 20 percent or more of the black finish showing...I will try to take a picture of this but may not be able to, with the mirror finish on part of the blade... Rex
