Question help!!

i need some advise. i am looking to buy my first metal lathe. can anyone tell me what speeds are needed for thread turning and what maximum speed machine i should be at least looking for? the lathe that has caught my interest is a chester model b super, 3 in 1. the speeds for this are 160-1360 rpm. does this look like a good allround machine? thanks

Cool

Do you have a link for that machine? I thread in back gear on my southbend 10k so its not going real fast, almost super slow. If you are good you can thread at any speed that you can cut the material at, but its better to do it slow so you can react better starting and stopping...Bob
