Assuming the wiring is correct, what is the motors power rating? Also what is the inverters rating? Try spinning the spindal after you turn it on.If this does work then your inverter is not matched to the motors power level. I have a 2hp
mill and use a 1-3 rated inverter. This works fine. I bought an old surface grinder
with a 1 hp motor and tried the 1-3 inverter and it would not work.. I got the humming sound. I could spin the shaft and it would spin. I had to use a lower rated inverter, 1/2 to 1 1/2 hp and this works. I used a bridgeport at one job I had and it had a 1hp motor. I don't remember what model it was. So check your
levels and report back.regards.
