Bolt action with AR mag question.

Does anyone know if there is a bolt action rifle and stock configuration that will accept AR mags? If there is, it might mean that another 300 whisper project could be looming. Thanks.

Hi,
One configuration I have seen in the past: You take a remington 700 short action in 222/223 and you fit it on a Accuracy international stock. And then I think there is an adaptator than can be easily made that will hold ar15 mag and fit into the magazine follower of the stock.
Not sure were you could find picture of it though.

I looked into this in the past and I was told that years past there was a company that did these... My understanding was they were not easy to do and had some issues but no real specifics.

I also know that the same company that was doing these also did a conversion that used Ruger Mini-14 mags and that the Mini-14 latch system worked much better.

I would love to have a Remington 700 in 300-Whisper that took 20-rd AR-15 mags!
