It is a single shot Savage .223 rifle action (Stainless Steel) w/accutrigger
17 inch Barrel is a Brux
Barrel was crowned, threaded & chambered by Spook (Peter in Co.)
Stock is a Choate Ultimate Varminter
Scope is a tasco (japanese) 36X 1/8 target dot with 1/8 moa adj. & adj obj.
Rings are Warner (steel) as are the bases
Harris bipod
Load, so far, that was shot was 8.5gr of H110 topped with a 220gr Sierra MK bullet.
I only had 10 rounds with me when I went to the range this late this afternoon. Couldn't get on the 25 or 50 yds ranges so did a quick sight in on the 100yd range. Took 7 rounds to get it on paper and on target. The picture is the last 3 rounds fired for the evening. 70 Degrees, sun at my back and almost no wind.
Now I need to work up a subsonic load for my 168gr. and I will be happy as a clam.....
Unfortunately here in sunny warm Minnesota the power at be feel we are well mannered enough to allow us to carry, own SBR and "some" automatic weapons but we must be to dumb to own cans since they haven't seen fit to allow us to do that yet. Yet across the river in WI they can own cans but can't carry. Must have somethin to do with the football teams we support
Anyhow this is my little tack driver and I think it is gonna be the source of lotsa fun this summer..................
