.338 BR finally finished just as board died...
glad to see its back up and running. . .
The .338 BR was built on a standard .308 SPS Varmint Rem 700 with a 17" PacNor 1-7.5" twist 5 groove blank. I had to do a little mod on the follower spring and follower in order to get it feed right but it works well and is the quietest rifle I've fired. 300gr matchkings at 1060fps sure make a loud whop when they hit steel at 250yds. Accuracy looks very good too though I haven't done any real benchrest type testing. I started with one load and did a little adjusting than fired 15rds into a sub 1" group at 75yds 3 times.
Not too scientific but good enough to start with. Lehigh is making some neat bullets that will be tested some time in the not too distant future.
Got a couple 510's done using CZ 550 Safari Mag receivers too. They work very well and have the single set trigger CZ uses on the smaller rifles.
Pics at some point. Glad to be back
