Gents,

Finally made the decision!

Shipped a new Stainless Steel Montana Rifle Company 1991 action to Pac-Nor Barreling(Brookings, OR) for one of their stainless steel super match grade barrel in .250/3000 Ackley Improved 40*!

For those not familiar with the Montana action it's a blend of Mauser and Winchester Model 70 features. Primarily Mauser Breaching and Controlled Round Feed with the Winchester Model 70 trigger and three position safety. This is going to be a beauty.

Now the waiting. They're quoting 16 weeks turn around or there abouts...

Barrel will have a 1:10" twist, Remington Varmint Special contour, six flutes, and a finished length of 24" with a 11* target crown.

Now to source the stock and have it ready to inlet, bed, sand, and finish. Hopefully I'll be up and running about June. A trip to eastern Oregon may be in order. I can stay in the valley here and do Coyotes and Cougar(hopefully).

Wes
