M9A1: In your first picture showing the M9 blade marking, in upper-right side of photo appears "+" in shaded color. "Mr Moon" is asking with his reply post and "---->" marking what is shaded "+"? Sometimes such is used to hide details by obscuring photo. "Mr. Moon" asks for photos of entire blade and tang (both sides) as does Bill Porter. This was not provided so suspicion of bayonet originality exists. Addition of USMC EGA emblem only adds to this question. From what I see, (which is not same as actually having bayonet in hand), bayonet and scabbard look OK. If someone has right material, access to sophisticated industrial tooling, and expertise, perhaps they could make such a forgery. IMHO expense to do this would be prohibitive, and soon advanced collectors would note small detail differences exposing forgeries from original BUCK manufacture. Perhaps if you can comply with request from Moon & Porter, this will resolve issue.

Current Chinese M9 bayonets wholesale at under $20. I bet that it would be under $100 to make one of these in China.

From Mister Lu :

My knife all is original true, It has some words on blade, so I covered it (shaded "+"),

I don't want to announce these words .This does not affect this bayonet's authenticity

From Mister Mo :

He is wrong... it does effect how we see a believe his story...

M9A1: Thank you for stating what is obscured by "shaded +" on tang. To my knowledge 1993 BUCK USMC trials bayonets should have nothing there. Perhaps Bill Porter can verify this (although rivet tang variation cannot be disassembled for inspection). As mentioned in my previous post, the purposely obscured area on the tang leads several members of the Forum to question the originality of the pictured example. However, your response (quoted above) does not provide any reassurances, but rather to the contrary, appears even more evasive, and only increases suspicion about your M9! Unless you are willing to satisfy the members of this Forum and reveal all, I would not expect your bayonet to be accepted as authentic.

Are you know China? You are too interesting .
Yes, maybe I am interesting. If that is meant as an insult I suggest you choose your words more carefully.

I have been in touch with more than one manufacturer in China (Taiwan) concerning manufacture of bayonets. I know that the current M9 bayonet copies being sold in the US wholesale for $18.67. Labor cost is a fraction of here in the US. Custom made pieces can be made very inexpensively.

As stated by others, it seems that you have something to hide. That makes everyone suspicious.
