I have one of those 25-223's..... I learned a lot from shooting the 25-223. Based on what I learned I went to the 25x45. There is No trimming back the case neck..... just neck up, load, and shoot. It does top out in the 100gr bullet area, I have shot heavier but it is not well suited to shooting them efficiently. The deer above thought the 100gr SP was more than enough.
