I have been promising a photo that showed this for some time now:

The middle knife is obviously of the same vintage as the markings are the same as is the blade finish. You can see photos of this knife here:

The 3rd knife has the same basic blade profile BUT the blade markings are different and the the type of finish that the blade got is different. All three blades look to have a sand blasted finish but this third knife has a finer finish. Here are photos of this knife:

Am I correct to refer to this 3rd knife as a 1st contract LanCay M9 Bayonet? Is this just a later 1st contract knife indicating that LanCay retooled? Just curious...
