Ontario M9 Bayonet

I picked up an Ontario M9 Bayonet this past weekend at a yard sale. After I got it home and was able to take a closer look, I’m not sure by the grips on this model if it is a guanine USGI M9 Bayonet. I have posted the following photos of the bayonet, I guess what I’m asking is this a commercial copy or military issue M9??? For $50 bucks, the grips just don’t look right to me.

That is the newer style ergonomic grip. It is 100% correct.

And, based on the condition, a very reasonable buy as well.

Thank you for the quick reply. The photo I forgot to post was the reverse side. Compared to my Phrobis III, 4th Gen, I also noticed the Ontario did not have a fuller on the blade. That is why I thought this was not a USGI. Best $50 I spent in a while.

The later Lan-Cays do not have a fuller, either. It was eliminated during LanCay's first contract.

OK, I'm new to this forum, actually I came across this forum while doing an internet search on the M9, trying to find out what I have. This fourm format is real similar to the CMP forum I also belong to.

Just found this forum through a member on another forum. Like what I see so far. I just purchased 2 of the Ontario Green handle bayonets. These look band new and got one heck of a deal on them!
