There are tons of pictures showing how to do it. Mine was made from an 18 pairof bolt cutters from Harbor Freight. I just took the bots lose so the jaws swung free and used my grinder to do it stopping to cool them off in water and to check progress. The I too a scrap piece of steel and made a pad with a dent for the rivet which I welded to the other jaw. It was easy and worked well. Some like the 24 inch cutter better and they might be right.
