Yes I have been looking at this adapter ring. I may buy this for a temporary fix but I am more looking for an adapter to put on the bayonet lug that will push the bayonet forward 1 -2". As stated by attaching the bayonet to the barrel I only have 4" of the bayonet exposed from the tip of the muzzle. I may end up switching my uppers again to a configuration that is set up for it. The carbine length isn't as important to me. My use of this weapon would be for a survival situation if this country ever goes belly up. So a longer barrel may even have an advantage although a carbine length is more then adequate in engaging targets at a practical range 1-200 yards. i am going to look into a local machine shop who may be able to make a bushing to fit on my barrel and take the slack up. I would look to have set screws and the bushing to be in two pieces so that you would not have to remove your compensator.
