I'm sure many of you can relate to this...making a b-line for the sporting goods section to drool over the big boy toys

Enough of my strange childhood flashback...

Still has its original box, 4 line tang stamp no other markings
BUCK-184-U.S.A-Pat Pend

1 pouch on sheath, all original accessories.

Two questions:

1) Am I mistaken in thinking this knife was made in 1985?

2)I've seen them sell from $250 to thousands for the most rare makes, I'm assuming I'm somewhere around the $450 range, in box new/mint cond. with all original pieces. Am I far off?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Chris

I collect those, but never paid that much for one, what do you collect?
Ray
