I've got two pounds of AA5744 that I use for my cast boolits in my medium-capacity cartridges. I haven't tried it in my FB yet, as I am running a large port in the pistol position on a 10.5". I noticed early on that the 5744 and the 1680 are right next to each other in the burn rate. The only difference I saw was in the formulation of the two powders. I like the non-position sensitiveness of the 5744, and I'd give her a go if I were you. I don't think you'll be hurting anything.
