ya I have used #9 for high-Vel & subs with pretty good success for a few years . But it was just recent in the past two weeks I grabbed a Lb. of BlueDot because all the usual Retail sales spots I usually buy, was out of #9 .
' Ya Also ' my Gas-Block on the 8.5 is positioned real close to the Chamber in pistol position . & I am sure that did not help things when I light up the test rounds .
On the +Plus . I do Like the way the fluff Flake BlueDot fills case capacity over the #9 .
I have burned and shot Way faster powder than the BlueDot & I always take BIG caution with the fast burners . but I just surprised on the ripping I took on the Bolt/carrier the other day . & In No Way did it represent the visual ID I did on that Burn-Chart . & before burning the BlueDot I did pull-up a burn-chart & it placed BlueDot right next to the #9 .
But today I pulled-up another & it was about 5 to 6 positions Higher on that Burn-chart . & THAT would explain the Over Aggressive extraction marks & the pounding it gave me on the bolt/carrier with the slightly down-loaded test rounds with it .
I am just a Little Throttle-Shy today on loading some more rounds threw the Chrony. ....LOL , ;) & I am getting over it .
