Putting a piston/oprod on an AR upper receiver is one on the best ways to stress crack the barrel nut area of the upper receiver barrel. Just think about where the oprod is flexing as it is being pushed by the piston. Then ask what part of the gun that might get "slapped" by the flexing oprod.
