Bullet Seating Question

I have a 300 Whisper built on a CZ 221 Fireball platform. I have had the rifle a few days and noticed that I have to seat the Sierra 220gr HPBT to 2.10 at least to get the bolt to close with some ease and for the round to fit into the mag.
Is this normal for this bullet type?
Thanks

your magazine will be the limiting factor for length most of the time.....
I took a .223 modified case for a butler creek COAL guage and formed it into a .300 whisper/ blackout case to use for checking free bore. ( that will allow you to measure the throat of your chamber.
