208 AMAX and VV N110 Load Data?

Does anyone have any 300 "Whisper" load data utilizing the 208 grain AMAX and VV N110 that they would be willing to share?

Thanks in advance.

I use 8.5 grains in an 18" bolt gun. Load up 9.5 grains, chrono, and go from there.

Thanks for the responses. What C.O.L. are you seating the projectiles to? The 208’s I measured are about .020 longer than the SMK 220’s. I’m more limited by the magazine than some of you running bolt guns. My plan was to load up a batch of 5 rounds each from 9.0 to 10.0 grains in .2 grain increments and with a C.O.L. of 2.260”. Based on your loads listed here I might go down to 8.6 just so I have them in case I get down to 9.0 and am still in the supersonic range. I have to drive a ways to the range so I want to have a good sampling to get close to my goal.

P.S. I am running a 10.5” 1x8 barrel on an AR-15 with a 762SD (not using can while testing loads).

I couldn't get V N110 and 208 A-Maxs to work together - big groups.

I ended up with 8.0 gr of Lil Gun, 2.320" COAL that shoots consistently 1/3 - 1/2 MOA out of my 16" McGowen Savage

I wanted to update this post with a few data points I have collected so far. I am shooting an AR-15 with a 10.5” carbon barrel from Paladin, 1x8 twist, 3-way gas block, AAC 762-SD (not used during data collection below).

C.O.L = 2.245
208 A-Max
VV N110

Grains Avg Velocity StdDev
10 1283 4
9.8 1244 12
9.6 1220 12
9.4 1220 7
9.2 1186 7
9 1163 21
8.8 1137 28
8.6 1103 32
8.4 1078 8
8.2 1062 5
8.1 1030 15
8 1013 10

All of the above loads cycled perfectly and locked the bolt back after each 5 round bracket. During testing I had a target at about 10 yards for stability testing. I shot one five shot string at 50 yards and all five shots were touching. I'll test for acuracy further out next time but so far I am pleased.

Thanks for the suggestions.
