hornady lead out front bullets

I see I can reload my 300 whisper with hornady 220gr for .22 per bullet.
They have exposed lead at the front of the bullet. Will they feed ok thru my SSK AR?

Most ARs won't feed them reliably.

It helps if you keep the COL on the short side. I load the 220 Hornady RNSP at 2.0 inches and they feed in my AR. If you load them too long they get pushed out of position by the magazine rib.

What kind of accuracy are you getting?

I've only shot them on my 50 yard range so I can't really comment on accuracy yet, but so far so good on consistent chrono speed--they seem to be more consistent than the 220 SMKs.

My experience too. No FTF problems whatsoever from my M1S upper when seated to the cannelure. Velocity consistency was excellent, as was 50yd accuracy. No chance yet to shoot at 100 or tweak the loads yet, but it does look promising.

Has anyone had any experience with these on game at subsonic velocities?

Maybe I should test some of my 180s that I have laying around from testing SS 308 loads.

I just want to see if they feed at the same COAL you are using before ordering any.

So what kind of prices are you paying for the 220s?
