Question Your favorite optic for the 300Whisper

With the overwhelming numbers of optics on the market....what to choose?

So I'm going with.....what is your 300Whisper wearing?
If you had to do it again....would you?
And finally, why did you purchase the optic your 300 is wearing?

Let me hear your answers!!

Scott

Since my whisper is a short range weapon I'm using an inexpensive Leapers 1-4x 30mm tube scope from CheaperThanDirt.com. With an illuminated reticle you can use it like a red dot sight with the option to zoom when needed.

leupold

Leupold VX II 2-7x. Love it! I shoot 4-5 suburban deer from tree stands all under 200 yd shots with most shots under 50 yards. I am very happy with this scope/caliber combination for what I do with it.

I use Leupold VX-IIc tacticle 3x9 with MIL DOTS (older style of 3x9 MK2) 56min of elevation.
On top of ARMS Mount #35 QD with PRI 30 MOA rail.
11 minutes up from bottom for 100yrd -0-, 45 MOA left.
You can do alot with this COMBO but it requires a cheek piece, and a range finder helps.

EOTech 512 on the sub upper with MagPul popups as backup (most shots are < 100 yards) and a Burris XTR w/ 1 MOA elevation clicks on the supersonic upper (helps make up for the dive in ballistics out past 200 yards).

I just purchased an ATN PS27-3 (3rd gen night site) that sits in front of a Leupold Mark 4 3.5-10 x 40mm with lit retical and mil-spec sites. I can't tell you how it shoots yet because the I'm still waiting on my gun from SSK, but I can tell you that I have very high expectations.

#1 has on a 4x16x40
#2 has on a 3x9x38

I like the higher power best because it allows me to better judge my hold over.

Burris Fullfield II 2x7x35. Nothing fancy but works well for my purposes.

The 300 Whisper AR has Bushnell Banner 1.5--4.5 for fast Hog sighting and the 458 Socom Bolt has a Vortec 4--16 with target knobs and illum Mildot for longer range sub-sonic.
