My new Noveske 10.5" 300 Fireball in my LMT MRP

My new Noveske 10.5" 300 Fireball in my LMT MRP. I had this barrel converted and dropped in in just before 300 Blackout was announced. I hope its fully compatible as commercial ammo will be a nice option in a pinch. Guess I plan to buy 300 Blackout dies. Anyway, what do you guys think? Will shoot it for the first time this weekend. I'm waiting for a thread converter and will try my Nexus III 45 pistol can at some point (only intend to shoot subsonic).

I am new to Whisper/Fireball/Blackout. What does 1.4 chamber mean relative to my hope to move to Blackout standard? Fine as is or need ream or not possible? Thanks

According to new info on Noveske website my barrel should be good to go with 300BLK. They are working on a program to check / ream barrels below serial number 290,000.

"Noveske Rifleworks will be changing our 300 Fireball (300 FB) barrel production to the 300 AAC BLACKOUT... Noveske 300 FB barrels with a serial number less than 290000 or without a serial number will need to be checked before using 300 AAC BLACKOUT ammunition. We will be setting up a program to send in older barrels for inspection and reaming if needed."

I believe he is referring to the 1.4" case length. There are different sources that cite 1.4" or 1.355" case lengths for the Whisper.

FWIW I was unaware that Noveske used the 1.4" and I've been trimming all my cases to 1.355" for use in my Noveske 10.5" barrel without problems.
