AR Pistol or SBR Question...

I'm looking at building a new upper and I'm wondering about barrel length. How accurate would a pistol or SBR be in a 300 Whisper caliber? From 11" all the way down to 7.5". I'm wanting something small and compact but still somewhat accurate to 100 yards.
